Tried to fire the motor for the first time around 3am - click of the solenoid and nothing. Tested the starter motor and its defunct. Is there anyway to get another starter motor today? Is this a part that World Pac or someone like that would carry or an equivalent I might be able to find? I'm in north Houston.

Try any/all local auto parts stores.

You can always use the "park on a hill" method, BTDT.

I got one for Christmas. It was bought at Auto Zone. In stock.

Also try a bug shop if there are any in your area.

Best deal I got was going to the local parts store and getting a new starter for a 74 911 Carrara. I gave them my old -4 starter as a core (hahah) and I was out the door. Spins my 2270 over (9.5:1 C/R) over like nothing.

Best deal ever.

Most FLAPS carry them.

thanks for the help guys. flaps had the starter motor, for 50 bucks, not too bad. I really wasn't expecting them to stock it.
