And they even mounted the turn signal lenses upside down!

That thing has lots of originality.

Only stuff I noticed (noty to complain about the guy's car, but just for the record):
They have the wrong rear lenses, no big deal.
The rear bumper is the later one.
Toolkit is incomplete and has some wrong parts.
The carpet piece over the center tunnel is not supposed to have edging.
E-brake handle rubber boot is missing.
I've never seen a spare for 14", but I'm sure that 185/60 Bridgestone is not original tire.
No pictures of the passenger footrest, so that may be missing.

Looks like a nice car.
I only see two correct tools in the tools kit. The P208 and the 10mm allen wrench. Bag looks correct.
Says not driven since 1986 but the tags are 1994.

Should be able to sell for a lot more than that. It will be interesting to see what it eventually gets bid up to and whether it sells.

I m guessing $55K

when was the change from 6 to 7 digits on the CA blue plate ...?

somewhen in the mid-70ies, IIRC idea.gif

Some good interior reference photos with carpets removed. Looks really stock right down to the grey front struts.

Too bad someone raped the tool bag !

This one is going to be expensive.

Has everybody visited the car who comes out of that area in California? Or would it be possible that someone will do a check locally?

The seller seems to be located in Pleasanton.

If everybody could explain his impressions, please let me/us know.

Best regards

45 bids up to $70,100

the seller lowered the BuyItNow price at least 4 times up to now

he also lowered the reserve price

it seems that he really want to sell the car ...

That's why I asked whether somebody has checked the car or know more about it. smile.gif

Perfect condition, but why has the first owner replaced the rear bumper e.g.? idea.gif

Porsche changed the design of the rear bumper due to rust issues at the "sharp edges" of the early style
maybe this car got a dealer replacement

maybe it had a dent, scatch or something similar ... who knows confused24.gif

Gustl
any ideas what these holes are for confused24.gif

Oil cooler mounts under the trunk?
Maybe since removed...as the holes just go straight through to nothing now.

Looks like some of the holes I had in my trunk due to an external oil cooler.

NLA. Message on auction says "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available." There is no final bid/pricing info (if it did or did not sell).

We may never know the whole story - unless the new buyer shows up here.

Just an auction tactic to try to spur a last minute, significant price increase when bidding slows down. Not uncommon.
xsurfer
What is your source of information on the price?

Just another way not to pay fees to evil bay?

Thanks

These 914-6 prices are killing me. I sold mine in 2003 for $15k.

I have a lot of cars and somewhere, maybe with a 356C, I acquired one of those tool kits. It looked like it was for an early 911, although it was missing a few tools, but had the belts, etc., as I checked the Porsche part numbers. Did not even think that it could have been from a 914-6! Years ago I had a 1971 914 and it might have come with that car's spares. Wish I had kept it: sold it on eBay for a few hundred. Probably worth thousands now with rising early Porsche prices!
