During his holiday, my brother visited the "Ferruccio Lamborghini Museo" at Funo di Argelato (nearby Bologna, Italy). They came by on a thursday, so there were no other visitors, and so they got a guided tour. There were all kind of tractors, building machinery, boats, helicopter and of course cars that were built by Lamborghini.
But, in addition, there have also been some other cars, that Ferruccio Lamborghini used to drive.
Amongst them, there was this blue 914:

Based on this photo, I'd say it's a MY'72 1.7 idea.gif

This guy is Fabio Lamborghini (Museum Director & grandchild from Ferruccio) next to my little nephew

The Miura was my first favorite sports car.
My younger brother had a Matchbox model.

Looks to me like a US spec car, no? Don't the Italian 914s have all white turn signal lenses and no side markers?

Love the Campag wheels…I want a set of those!
Gustl
the ital.spec cars also had the sidespots
but you're correct, originally they had all white turn signal lenses - that's why I added the "at least I think so" wink.gif

if I would have been there, be sure that I'd have asked lots of questions about that car biggrin.gif

I'll be in Florence for the next few days, which I understand is about an hour or two away from the Lamborghini factory / museum. If I make it over to the Lambo museum, I'll see if I can get a guided tour, or at the very least, inquire about the blue 914 in the picture.

EDIT: Was not able to talk my family into a side trip to the Lamborghini factory, so I wasn't able to visit the museum. Sorry about that ...

Italian cars had side marker but they are wired as turn signal repeater.
