So far here's what I found:

1. float hieght looked too low.
2. lots of grit and flaky stuff in the bottom of the bowls.
3. I did not use gasket dressing on the carb cover, only on the air cleaner shelf. ( yay )
4. evidence of some lint in the passages?

Done for today. Got sidetracked. IPB Image

One thing you'll wanna do is pop off the plugs over the transition ports. Behind them are.....transition ports....little holes in the carb body above & below the butterfiles. They have been known to get gunked up.....which will fuck up your....transition. I use a sharpened toothpick (metal is bad) to make sure they are clear. Ya should take the carb off to do it.

I thought you rebuilt these.

Oh Look... NO Ladybugs in the float bowl....... IPB Image

Don't let any funny guys drop any extra parts on that heap of stuff....good luck.

Is that good? IPB Image

Actually, they look pretty good and clean. Something must have gotten past and clogged that one cyl up? IPB Image IPB Image

I did, but... must of missed something?

5 out 6 wasn't bad IPB Image

Anyway, it's good now. Success. Smooth running idle , steady power, no hesitation, good transition onto the mains. IPB Image
