Today I raised each front wheel individually of my 914 to do some front end checks and I have a question.
My side to side play seems very little and the up down play seems little as well, but.....
When I use a good amount of force, I can actually move the shock up about an inch and upon release there's a rather noticeable "thunk" noise and it occures on both sides.
Zat normal?

Sounds like worn out stock front struts that need replacing.

911 SC 5-lug. Unclear on when the PO had last done inserts.
