How do you remove the interior door handle, never done it before
Thanks brian

If you still have the plastic insert, you pop that off with a screwdriver, but be careful, they are old and brittle.

Under that there is a single phillips head screw.
Remove the screw, then you pull the handle and the lock tab out and you can remove the handle "cover".

AT that point you can remove the door panel over what is left.

There is no insert to pop out in the 74, just in the 70. You access the screw by pulling the handle in the "open" direction, the screw is directly behind it. The screw holds the plastic surround onto the handle assembly. BTW, the length of the screw is kind of critical--if it is too long, you won't be able to open the door from the inside. And also BTW, the screw for the window winder is too long....

Two bolts hold the handle onto the door structure, and there is also the rod that actuates the latch. It may be better to pull the door card off to get easier access to those bits. Take a look when you get the plastic surround off.
