hi,
where would be the best place/price to buy replacements for
the cheese head screws? 6m x 1 x 12?
also are not some of the cheese head screws that screw into the case longer?
is it true that you would not want to use stainless for the screws into the case?
tks

I've seen someone selling packages of replacements here. A & P Girl is the username that comes to mind. I haven't bought them from her and have no interest or recommendation of her/them. You could also try the usual vendors; Pelican parts, GPR parts, ... maybe busdepot; I get alot of 914 stuff from busdepot. In my case, after stripping the heads off so many rusted cheesehead screws, I used black oxide socket head screws that I got at Home Depot (Lowes, Ace, local hardware store). Certainly convenient to get what I need. As for proper lengths, I refer to the PET (there is a link in my signature to the PET).

thanks for the reply,
I would prefer the hex head screws.
home depot only had two pkg's for a total of four screws.
was hoping to purchase around 40.
tks again

Looks for a place called Fastenal, they have them in MI. I go there to buy any fasteners in quantity, esp. metric, socket head, or anything that the box stores are not strong in.

tks for the links....
I looked at the Fastenal site and called the local store,,,,,,,,, they will
have what I want in a couple days.
unfortunately I did this before looking at 914rubber...
black oxide vs stainless from 914rubber.
price is more for less screws at Fastenal minus the ss and washers.
well, at least I will be ordering lots of "rubber" parts from 914rubber in
the days to come.
tks again

You probably do not want the black oxide they will rust.

Another good source is McMaster-Carr. You can spend looking at their stuff!!

I bought various lengths in stainless from McMaster Carr. Less expensive than any other source I could find.
