Trying to start the restoration project this PM- carbs have been on a shelf for 3-4 years. Have everything hooked up, front mounted fuel pump and pressure regulator. Pump working and have fuel to engine compartment (confirmed if you could smell my hands right now...) but carbs don't seem to be filling.
Ran the pump for quite a while, but little if any gas coming out of accelerator pump nozzles. Should see a good squirt when blipping the butterflies. Car won't start.

Something stuck in carbs? Is the float stuck not allowing bowl to fill? Both sides?? That seems odd.

Wondered about some opinions before I start going into the carbs. It's a Redline Weber kit BTW. 2 liter with Webcam.

TIA

time to pull the tops off the carbs. you should get a good srteam from the accelerator pump>. if the car has been sitting over 3 months. the idle jets can be clogged. todays gas is garbage.

Typically I pull carbs completely apart and rebuild. Blow out all the gunk, reset your floats and test accelerator pumps. You need to chop your problem in half . Just poor gas down all 4 throats. get in car push accelerator down turn it over. Car should run for at least 10-15 seconds. If it does then it is a carb problem. If it does not it could be timing or simple electrical problem, coil problem.

Pour some fuel down each throat and see if it will start. That way you know the ignition system is good. You can tap the sides of the carbs with a rubber mallet and that might free the floats and let the gas in....
