So i am building a six conversion on a '72 roller. The 3.2 engine came with struts etc from what is probably a 1984 wreck. That means I can choose between the steering rack that came with the teener or go with the 911 steering rack. Actually they are very similar and I am hard pressed to find any reAl functional differences. Thar said, I am using the struts, brakes and other front end parts of the donor 911. So is there any advantage either way? The 914 rack looks slightly cleaner in design?

No advantage to the 911 rack. The shaft coming off the coupler on a 911 is longer.
