It only took 4 of us to move a fully dressed LT1 350 Chevy out of the back of a 4x4 dually Chevy. Don't be such light weights.
I did call 10 people over, but you only have room for about 4.

Patrick,
My mechanic can remove it from your truck with a hydraulic lift. His shop is located in Portola Valley.

Royce,
I see Jason and Darren's work frequently and seriously considered a Boxster engine but the conversion is such a major project. I want to focus and spend my time and limited $ on the body redesign and finish within this year.
I'm not ready for a thread but John will post his progress pics soon. I plan to get the drivetrain ready before it returns to my place in two months...then off to Tony's to fabricate an engine cross member. At least I've updated my signature!

Patrick,
Turns out they charge more for cities beyond SJ so I wouldn't save anything. Thanks for the offer!

I usually have teh freight company hold it at the terminal.
I then show up with my stretched Vanagon and they forklift it into that.
No extra charges, I just have to drive to san jose to get whatever it is I'm getting shipped.
Maybe you could do that? Yes, you would still need a truck or van.
