Another newbie question: How hard is it to change out the tun signal switch? ('73 914) I have the wheel off and the four screws out, but it seems like I can only walk it partially out. Am I missing something? Do I keep pulling on it? Is the plug keeping it from coming out? Does the wiper switch come out with it or stay in?

Thanks.

Anyone??

both switches come out out together. Have you unplugged the wires from the bottom end (towards the firewall)?

Besides unplugging the 2 wire assemblies, you'll need to unplug or otherwise free up the w/s washer hoses from the valve, which is part of the switchgear.

Will this '71 dated switch work in my '73 stalk? The broken one is '73 dated.

No.

Dammit.

Yup... washer hose and plugs. Plugs just barely make it through the opening.

Dammit.

I have some used ones.

Reproductions are available BUT you need the wiring clip off the old one to go back in correctly and snap together.
