smile.gif FS: 1975 Porsche 914 with 2.7L 911 Engine Conversion. NR# in front of DS door is 5029026. Most all original data plates are still in tack on body. Has 911 5 bolt wheel conversion. When I purchased the car a few years ago, they were in the early stages of the conversion. I picked up the 911 2.7L 6cyl Fuel Injected (air cooled) engine out of California, reportedly the engine had been removed from a early 70's 911 (It appears the 2.7L was used between 1973-77) and was running fine at time of removal, unknown mileage. The seller guaranteed the engine had good compression. Anyhow I brought the engine back and started the conversion with the 914. I located an original style oil tank and placed it inside the drivers side rear fender. I picked up a conversion engine support bar to adapt the 2.7 to the underneath of the 914 frame. I picked up an adapter plate for the 2.7L to match up to the 914 transmission. The 914 had already had some heavy duty Koni shocks put on the rear to handle the extra weight of the 2.7L engine. The only thing that was missing was a good wiring harness, instead of buying one we tried to match wires up to the control box. Wasn't really successful, will need to purchase a wiring harness which several companies sell! We got the engine to run but noticed it was leaking oil from the seals on the tubes. Will need to replace seals. Picked up a nice exhaust system with custom made headers. This was about 5 years ago and i got side tracked on other projects and here we are now. Need someone to complete the conversion. I have lots of extra parts, including interior seats. The car as seen from the photo does have the center console option. I paid over $5,000.00 for the engine alone several years ago. Need someone that knows more than I to complete the conversion. If i had the 2.7L running, with the condition of the 914 body this should be valued in the range of $15,000.00 - $20,000.00. I thought about dropping the 911 2.7L out and parting it out but there has been too much time and money put into this project not to complete it! Pics available to see on EBAY or I can send you some through my email address: r996tt@yahoo.com. Sorry no trades, accept cash or cashier check.
.....** It was discovered that the Engine Serial Number is #6272666, which translates to a 1977 911S 2.4L Engine (165hp). and the wheels are not imitation Fuchs, they are the original Fuchs #901.36101600 (5 1/2JX14).

What are you getting: #1) Clean, mostly rust free 914 body #2) Complete 911 engine, 2.7L #3) 914 with a converted upgraded 911 5-lug bolt pattern, plus Fuch style wheels #4) 911 engine adapter kit to 914 chassis #5) 911 engine flywheel/clutch adapter kit to 914 transaxle

I currently have this listed on EBAY with a starting bid of $4,950.00 Item #221569851846. I would like to get at least $5,500.00 for the car/engine.

Any questions or suggestions, let me know! Thank you

Thanks for all your interest, just let all interested parties, my car which as I noted is listed on EBAY, has got a solid bidder which commits me to sell it to the highest bidder on EBAY. If interested you'll have to bid on the auction! Thank you

Why is your listing in the "collectibles" section? You're going to pay more in ebay fees than if you put it in ebay motors, which is a flat $125. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in "collectibles" you pay 10% of the sale price up to $250. You're giving ebay twice what you otherwise would.

Didn't realize that about EBAY, thanks for any future listings.

You can pull your add. Just because someone bid doesn't mean it's a done deal. You can pull your add pretty much up to the last 24 hours. Many list cars there but sell them locally if possible. In which case they pull their adds
