Guys,

I am writing a life and times story on the 914 for our local PC magazine.
As you can imagine, there are not many 914s down our way so I am trying to educate the locals with your assistance.
I am familiar with the Porsche side of the story, however I want to expand on the VW and VW management side of the story.
I want to 'join the dots' between the time of Nordhoff's death April 1968 and the first showing of the 914 series at the Frankfurt motor show September 1969.
To simplify,I am assuming that Ferry Porsche was summonsed to Kurt Lodz' office in Wolfsburg and told something to the effect that the TYP 47 / 914 project that Ferry agreed with Nordhoff would not be financially cost effective for VW and if Ferry wanted to go ahead with the project,he would have to do so on VW's somewhat more expensive terms.
Is there something in the Von Klodt book to throw some light on this episode as this is the major (disastrous) turning point in Porsche's entire 914-6 project ?
At some stage,I would like to buy this book, but sadly mein Deutsche ist nicht sehr gut sad.gif
Anyone with the book ? Sir Andy ? Wolfgang ?

TIA
