In going through the fuel system to eliminate problems that are keeping my 73 2.0 from running I have arrived at the injectors. I have three different part numbers going on. One I know is incorrect (yellow injector) part number 0 280 150 009 for a 1.7L motor.
I have one that I know is correct as it has the correct porsche part number 039-906-031A and Bosch part number 0-280-150-038. The two in question are green like the 2.0L injectors are supposed to be but they have no porsche part numbers on them and the Bosch part number on them is 0-280-150-019. My common sense is leading me to believe that these green injectors with no porsche number are from a 2.0 bus motor. Can anyone confirm if they will work correctly in my application? The car seemed to run okay with them, albeit that was over a decade ago.

Lastly, I read a post some time back about what vehicles had these injectors in them but I can't find it now. I need to get my hands on a few as I need to send them all off for cleaning and I want to get a full set of 4 good injectors back. What vehicles had these injectors so I can start my junkyard search?

Sooo... I seem to have asked too soon. Just found the answer to the first part of my question. Here is the chart for injector part #'s from a rennlist tech article.


Second question still stands though. What cars should I be searching for the correct injectors?

MY .02 is do not bother with rebuilt injectors. Just by some NEW ONES. They are not cheap but you will not have any problems. Only 2.L Bosch injector available is 0 280 150 019. Around $150 each.

How about this:

VW Bus engines used L-jet. The injectors are physically different, and are blue or gray. The key difference is the electrical connection, which uses a clip on wire connector and has provisions to accept that style plug.
