You can either buy a very nice condition Ferrari Mondial or a tired '73 911.

Some people are gluttons for punishment dry.gif

An oxymoron (plural oxymora or oxymorons) is a figure of speech that juxtaposes elements that appear to be contradictory. Oxymora appear in a variety of contexts, including inadvertent errors (such as "ground pilot") and literary oxymorons crafted to reveal a paradox.

Not my house and not my trailer smile.gif

But, I really am a world class trailer handler. I was backing in boats on landings at the age of 14. When I did it on a daily basis I could back a boat up hundreds of yards laser straight at damn near full speed...seriously.

A Mondial is an everyday driver 308 / 328. I would think a 308 / 328 would be a very fun car to sit and look at. cheer.gif

Per the "broker" of this deal the car is super solid. It will be restored.

I already have a '73 T engine (carb'ed) for my '74 Zambezi!
BK911
Nice score. Love me some sepia!

No...adjusting all 32 would be a chore. Fortunately, once set they seldom require any changes!

It's a '72 Bill....didn't know you were the "Bill" Scotty was referring to.

Gotta love my skinny/steep driveway sad.gif !

It's my driveway, 10' from brick wall to chainlink fence. And the rise is about 15' in a 60' length. A VERY experienced driver backed it up there, I actually don't know how he got it up that far with such little damage.

Ask the 914 guys (ScottyB and type47) have been to my house how crazy it is.
naro914
Damn...I would love to find a '72. I had one that was so rusty there was more air than metal and sold it for 3x what I paid for it!!

Bill...you have a sickness. Not only because you own a Mondial but because....well...just because....you know.... smile.gif

OHV with shims. Once set good for a long time.
Belt change easy from passenger side rear wheel.

I remember a long time ago, a mechanic at Stuttgart Southwest in Stockton, Ca. said that the Mondial's didn't corner for crap, versus the 911. There was one at his shop at the time and I was in my early twenties drooling over it. Back in the early 80's.

Well...I am thinning the herd over the next few months. I have way too many. I would like to get down to 5 or 6 quality cars and maintain there.

The Mondial is more of a GT than a sports car. It makes all the right noises and can be set up for handling...but, why? biggrin.gif
r_towle
Well, if any of you guys are looking for a serious project, I have a 72....
It needs to go to a welder to start with.
It's a carcass with no removable panels, needs a front piece welded in...which I actually have....but...it a titled real 72, one year only oil filler door and all.

I just know that I will never do it, but I won't be giving it away...not stupid here.

Bill doesn't know it yet, but I've decided he will be going with a satin orange vinyl wrap. Narrow bodied, GT3 tail. Maybe a black dragon where the Carrera script would be. This cars gonna be a real game changer. smile.gif
JmuRiz
We always thought to just polish the 'T'urd and drive as-is, but it has one paint less spot on the roof. I'm sure Scotty could fix it enough to do that smile.gif
