You should fuck with him and ask if it's a factory slantnose happy11.gif
bdstone914
It has been removed already. Damn and it was a factory Chalon with original Chalon paint and factory paperwork. How rare does that get?
Did not bother to mention the year or engine. Clueless seller.
KELTY360
He must have added information....it's a '72 with a 1.8. If only I had an extra $19K...sigh.

Very rare. Less than one exist.
GaroldShaffer
Not a big fan of the Chalon kit, but for some reason I like the paint job on it. For $19k I think he is smoke.gif

Nice ding in the center of the rear hood...Ballpeen hammer?

That's a tough look to sell these days. All you need to find is a guy with a mullet wink.gif

Yeah, but he'll be looking to buy a Porsh. This is clearly a Porsche...for a more discerning intellect.

I got a message that it had been removed when I tried to ask the seller a question. Wanted to its the factory paperwork.
CptTripps
Still works for me.

there is a reason they are rare icon8.gif
Spoke
If you don't look at it as a pure 914, the car actually doesn't look that bad. The body lines seem to line up well.
bandjoey
The vin is there. Anyone know it as an original car? The one picture shows the unique special paint. Someone will like it.

Btw., the car is in the VIN database, looks like the owner is a member here ...

...ahhh, an organized rattle can paint shelf...should have been placed in proper PMS color spectrum order with all labels facing out. poke.gif

Is it just me or is the windshield smashed up?
Dr Evil
Depends, are you all smashed up? If not, then it is just the windshield.
pete000
Nicest think on that car is the 5 lug conversion !

Rayco body with flares...so it could be wheel adapters dry.gif

I had one of those kits about 10 years ago, got it dirt cheap and flipped it quick.
Last I heard it's still not installed on anything. I'd roll it if I had a smashed but serviceable car.

I think it's Slits trying to drive up the value of Slitzchalon.......covertly.

you guys are cruel!! ar15.gif

I'm kind of with Spoke on this one. If it wasn't a 914, I'd like it a little more. It's just 80's styling and in 10 years that might be the thing. Of course, mullets would have to come back :0
turk22
In his defense, he didn't say it was "Porsche Factory Chalon" just that's it a Factory Chalon...

Did the manufacturers of the kits, ever build a demonstration car?

Still looks like its been beat, and only 4 pictures looks like there is a lot to hide...

who sells a car for 20k with 4 pictures?? WTF.gif
struckn
Found it to be interesting and not that bad actually. Not saying I like it better then what the Original 914 looks like. Do a V8 conversion on it and go racing.

The $19K Price is way too high but the $5K bid price would be a great buy if it is rust free and runs. There were 30 Bids already for it to reach $ 5K ???

The windsheld looks like something may have splashed on it or it could be cracked, to hard to call.

Why not go save yourself 18k and buy an equally undesirable car with the same looks (almost), oh and it's available in Triumph Dog s**t brown

I had a Spitfire in that colour once barf.gif
