I am in the UK and interested in buying a 914 that is for sale in Fontana CA. Its a restored car so am naturally cautious about getting it right.

I would really appreciate it if someone locally could look at it and give me an honest opinion.

Your best bet is to look for a real porsche shop and pay them to do a PPI.
It's a really worthwhile investment that will give you a very detailed amount of information regarding the car.
