There's a Copart right down the street from where I live, but I guess they don't have any 914's.

scotty, you ever buy anything from them? thinking about buying and flipping...

the orange one looks like it was a pretty nice car before the incident. i don't think the $5k repair estimate on copart's listing will get the job done.

1st car I bought for my son that got me started back into 914's was a copart auction the car had an engine fire. the car was $600 (9years ago), the fees and extras seemed to be another $300, so at the time not really a screaming deal, but turned out ok.

No I haven't. I went through all the fiasco a few years ago to be able to bid on the cars only to find out the auctions for the open public are VERY limited. It seemed the majority of their cars require a dealers license to bid on, I think the older stuff like these are probably open bids, but at the time I signed up, I was looking at the newer cars

I signed up with Copart, a dealer friend here in NJ cooperated.
There was a '67 911 S at their Bordentown facility.
The car was well disguised with Turbo (!!!!!!) bodywork.
I went twice to see the car, ( 2 hrs. each way) unbelievably it was a number matching car with a stock interior and all the important S only parts.
The auction was scheduled and I had everything set.
Two days before the scheduled auction the car was sold!
I was told the auction had been re-scheduled.
Very fishy. Very fishy.
