In another thread, McMark mentioned the the Voltmeter would not show a huge drop since Jim had run a dedicated line from Bat to Gage. That made me think of when I was a newbie and noticed a 2volt drop, indicated, and freaked. I asked Ron and was "brought up to date".
Or, in an early post when Andy pointed out to me why my left side parking lites remained on.
What questions do you see that
markx a guy(gal) as a newbie? In a good taste of course!

He tore me a good one back in 2004 when I first joined. Regarding the "How do I use the fog lights as Driving lights?"
He never disapoints me when that or a similar question is asked!

This is actually one of the most tender and loving forums on the net. I am always surprised at the lack of wanton flaming and posturing. I just assumed that the unique nature of the 914 attracted just a certain sort of person. Don't be too hard on yourselves, or on the Cap'n!

I discovered this quite by accident - there's a knob on the back of the motor
turn it clockwise & it raises the headlight bucket
turn it anti clockwise and it unscrews out of the motor housing
replace the fuse that you knocked out with your foot and the buckets lower again! (I know, I know, I should get the jwest fuse panel conversion)
this place rocks! take everything with a grain of salt and a flaming from krustovsky is a badge of honor

unknowing that said vendor is a member here making parts or services as a side job for us to keep these pos's running and does this in their free time outside of family and work.
