I just got a replacement Mahle wheel for my 1976 2.0. One of mine has a slight bend in it and I will use it for my spare. Does anyone know what the correct silver paint color is for these wheels? The one I just got has been stripped and needs to be painted to match the rest on the car. Thanks in advance. Bob

Wurth's Silver Lacquer .... used to come in rattle cans.

Don't know if it is still available.

Was it the same color in all years? And same color for Pedrinnis?

Mahles were painted and yes other than the LE cars with painted wheels.

Not sure about the Pedrinis. Don't remember if they were painted.

I used Duplicolor Automotive Primer/sealer, followed by Duplicolor automotive Stainless Steel. Came out great!

In the pix below, the one on the left is one I stripped and painted. The one on the right is original paint.

From a rattle can or with a spray gun?

There was a thread from a while back where Wurth White Alloy Wheel Paint was recommended over Silver. It mentioned that the Silver looked good on newer wheels but had too much metal flake for our wheels.
