Wayyda stink'in minute.... That is a strange looking Rayco body. I just noticed the rear holes for the vents is up on the fender well like a Boxster. and the front spoiler thing is different than mine. Hummm.....

Looks like maybe that was a separate mod, judging from the black color of those parts, and the rear flares.

Yep yours and the one above are different as well.

The rear fenders need work and were plugs...the rest is good gel coat, but has a bit of damage to the gel coat on the targa bar.

I think it may be a copy that someone changed a bit, thinking they could sell kits up here. Probably been sitting around since the 80's.

Hey "kits" are like, you love em or you hate em
I think this has been a question of debate for a lot of car buffs. Gotta admit the price is rite !!! Even high buck kits need tuning. Are you up to the work or is this a re-sell?
Here in the great north there is no shortage of rusted 914s, but big shortage of solid ones, anyway you slice it, its a lot of work.
What I would do is :
buy the kit
search these boards like mad and see if you can find a half finnished project somewhere, good roller.

My opinion - looks good, but need the rite car. I personally wouldn't cut an origional 914, but if you can find or have one thats the body is questionable...oh ya!
But then again I go to aircooledboys parties

This is the only shot I got, found first a red one for sale, had a pic (can't find it) and I think I posted it on PP board and someone sent the black one to me. This is a couple of years ago, but I did try to find a price and I remember it being insane, like 20000 or something, hence the flushed project . I think it is hand roled aluminum ?.
