Trying to get a member's ignition lock fixed and working again. If any of you have the small rotating cam at the base of the 70-71 ignition lock, please let me know. The one you see in the pictures belongs to the member, whose ignition is currently in pieces. I have also included reference picture of the cam as it sits on a good unbroken ignition lock.

Should be the same as the base of a VW type 3 lock.

Thanks for the heads up. I did consider that option. I looked on theSamba, but I did not see any for sale. So, I'm hoping that a member here may have one they disassembled and have the cam just laying around.

Hurray! I found a donor lock. Now I will be able to restore the member's lock to working condition.

Looking for more of these, if anyone has any locks laying around let me know.
