"Last post by" keeps changing and "new reply E-Mail keeps coming" but pages is hovering at 94 with last post by seanery?

I saw that, too.

Maybe it's time to close that thread, move it to Classics, and start a new one.

Well, I am not an admin, but I suggest someone go through and take out all the BS that is in there and leave just the pictures. Would that help it?

I won't say no, but I think that's only going to postpone the inevitable, if there's a limit on replies to a thread. Maybe it's just a jacked DB... I dunno.

On the other hand, do you want to be the guy wading through almost 1900 posts deleting the chatter? Not me, Kimosabe.

i'm sure it's alot of work, but one thread with nothing but pictures of cars would be way cool.

naaa, it seems that for some reason the post count is off.

the count of actual posts is bigger than what the BBS *thinks* there are.
you can get to display the new posts if you alter the url.

there are already 95 pages of posts but the bbs postcount comes up short ...

i'm on it ...

So what about ditching the thread completely and
adding the capability to include a photo in members profiles?

Just let everyone update their profile with their picture(s) of their car(s).
Limit it to some small number for those that have multiple cars.
1 Picture for each VIN provided.
I don't know how painful this is or how much work it would be for the
admins but it might be nice to control these photos and put all these in a common place.

Also, it would make it really easy to do some really cool things like:
- have the capabilty to click on the VIN numbers in the "Members VIN Page" and actually get a picture of the car.
- Provide slide shows of members cars
- Provide FTP locations for people to download all the images.
etc.....

Just a pie in the sky suggestion.
