Has anyone seen any nice examples of a 914 or 914 parts used as yard art?

It seems like there is a fine line between "rusted junk in your yard" and "that is really cool/nice looking".

We have a new big yard that could use something like this. I'm thinking a rusty 914 hanging out under a pepper tree or something.

Like this looks cool (IMO):

Something new?
Don't recall seeing that when I was there last year.
Do you have a 911 up there as well?

It's a lever arm and is showing how you can balance a ton (literally) with a much smaller object.

The actual math is a sum of moments about the pivot point. What that means is that for the 914 to stay in the air like that the (weight of the 914) x (distance from 914 to the post) must equal the (weight of the rock) x (distance from the rock to post).

I thought maybe this was a replacement for jackstands. Takes up a little more room though...

Right. I understand what it is. The question I want answered is, WHY???!!!

At what point did someone say, "Hey I want to make a giant lever arm balance. You know what, I've got a 914 that I can use! Yeah, let's do it!"
That's what I want to know. How did this come to be??!!

It's like that line from Lewis Black's standup, where he was following someone and he heard them say, "If it weren't for my horse I'd have never spent that year in college." And it's been driving him crazy ever since to figure out what the hell it means!!

It's a teeter totter, note how well balanced the car is with the car supported through it's centroid of mass.
Balance weights may have been added to simulate a 1/2 fuel load.
Great idea though, install a receiver on the floorpan to conveniently lift the car with little effort.
Art of gravity.
I particularly like the method of construction,as if it was modeled in fea.

You must have missed it, because it has been there since the beginning. There isnt a 911 hanging on the wall at work, but my Dad has one on the side of his shop at home.
