I am looking for some strut gland nuts for SC/carrera struts(female threaded) and also these (in pics) shaft that goes into the trailing arms(I F 'ed up when I removed them). Not sure whether it would be easier to get new ones or try and fix the threads. confused24.gif
any help is greatly appreciated.

I have those cross shafts. Shoot me back a shipping address and send me 20$ via Payal. That should cover shipping. They can go out today if you get back to me by 2:30

We dont use the cross shafts when converting to roller bearings.

Your SOL on the struts nuts.. new shocks come with them. I throw away the old ones.

Are you talking about stock Boge struts as would be on a '87 911? Are you needing the piece that is the first thing you remove when disassembling the strut (round with no flats, internally threaded)?

If so, I'm pretty there are some in my trash can. They do have some minor pipe wrench marks since I was planning to trash them.

Free if you want them.

Ahh he needs the shock collar. Not the bolt that holds the shock to the chassis.

Just FYI.. Your 914 shocks "shouldnt" work in the Carrera struts if that is what your trying to do.

that is what i " was planning" i was under the impression that the struts were the same with the exception of the hub and brake spacing. read it some where. it said that the 911 shocks had a different valving you should use the 914 part.
Brian

please enlighten me
seanery
BHFAST,

that sounds like the wording from one of the catalogs....I can't remember which, maybe, oh yes it was on Paragon Products ask Dr. Koni page.
bhfast
I beleive that was the one. OK I just went and dug out my 914 struts they are the same size, tube diameter, with the exception of caliper spacing and the collar threads.

Brad Roberts
The tube is the same.. but something is different.. I forget what is incorrect right this minute (100 things going on)

I know 914 Koni's dont fit Carrera struts unless you have the adapter collar from Paragon.

It's a special kind of washer that centers the strut IIRC.

I'll find the link to the doc koni page and post it.
Jeffs9146
Is this what you are looking for?

Jeff
Brad Roberts
No he is looking for the shock collar (part that holds the shock into the strut).

Do you want to sell those (Koni's and all) ?? I'll be very very fair with the pricing.

I need a Carrera setup with Koni's for a customers car..

Unless... those are currently under you car.

I forgot to invite you to lunch on Sunday with us... we left not too long after you did.

B
Jeffs9146
Thanks Brad but I went water-skiing at 11:00 so I couldn't go to lunch anyway!

Sure you can have them for the price of a good lunch! They still have the front rotors and stuff attached and you have to take it all!! lol

Let me know what you want!

Jeff
Brad Roberts
Interesting.. Bilstein covers... Koni adjustable shocks.. 4lug suspension.

You do know.. those are Koni adjustables in the 4 lug setup.. correct ?? or did I just stick my foot in my mouth and let you on to something you didnt know ?? DOH !!!

B
Brad Roberts
How about the SSI's in the corner ??

I do want your front struts.. I need to them to role cars around on while the 5 lug stuff gets rebuilt/powder coated on project cars.

B
Jeffs9146
I plan on using the ss heat exchangers but the front is the 4-lug setup I removed when I went to 86 sc front 5-lug. If you can use them I have offered them to a few people but I didn't want to ship them all the way to the East Coast. Get them outa here! What else do you need? I got more!

Thanks for the welcome.

Brian - I found the pieces I believe you want. Take a look at the picture and make sure I understood correctly before I make a trip to the post office.

Edit- well so much for the picture

Edit2 - OK, I put it in as a link and it works. Thanks seanery.

Jeff,

I was in Pleasonton for most of the day this past Saturday (GoodGuy's event)

If you will hang onto them.. I'll be back in town next Monday from LA.

I really do need some struts to role projects around.

B
Jeffs9146
No Problem Brad. I will hold onto them.

Where in LA are you going?

Jeff
Brad Roberts
Fontana.. Grand Am race. I'm helping out on a GT3RS team.
