Anyone here into tiki,or wood carving the discovery channel will be airing an episode of "THE DUDE ROOM" on Feb 17, at 3:00 pm ( I believe this is est) featuring Crzy Al doing one of his tiki totems by chain saw. Watch the talent and hate yourself because you can't do it.

Every year when we go to Kauai my Wife & I walk a path along the beach that takes us past a Hawaiians house that does old style carving. His backyard looks out on the beach. He has a palm frond covered lean-to with a pik-nik table that he sits at & carves totems. He does all sorts of figures big, small and all with hand held carving tools of old. Wished I could find the picture! Quite an art
