On the way to Long Beach this morning had the lites, windshild wipers, fan on the oil cooler on and the Alt. bearly made 12V. Is there a alt. that puts out more than 55 amps? I am going to install Jakes DTM and was wondering what amps his unit puts out. You could not run the radio with all the other things running, although I could not here it over the sound of the 2270.

You can get higher output alts around.. unless you have added a bunch of extra stuff, I don't know why a stock one is failing.

Have you tried NOT running your respirator?
