Got my 1st 914 in the late '90's, had a few more through the years and finally in 2007 I sold my last 914 along with my car trailer.
I finally convinced the wife that I really want to get another one, however no racecar, nothing too fancy....
So, for $2000 I think I got a pretty good deal.
Specs:
Bad 2.0 bus motor that the PO is pretty sure it is a dropped valve seat.
Redrilled front and rear rotors.
16x7 Phonedials
Megasquirt
Black interior in decent shape (has some trim pieces I sold to the PO 5 years ago)
Kerry Hunter header or one that looks like it.
Now to get together with McMark and pick up a 1.7 motor he has!

No idea....PM your address and you can have it for the price of shipping, I'd rather have the 9-1-4 emblem back on it

Did you ever find a place to keep it?
Yes, my neighbors across the street will let me keep it in their driveway until I my other project car is up and running and I make a cleaned up space for the 914 in the single car side of the garage.
Bought a new car cover for it today, it used to be garage kept for the last 6 or so years.
My girls are all excited about the car, wanted to get it a ride in it as soon as we got home from school and got bummed about it not running right now.

And the narrow body. The combo is sweet.
And the color! Very clean indeed!
For $2k, quite a deal. Rust?

Not really, but it fits my budget right now and my track record of getting a running driving 914 with another powerplant isn't so good!

What mirror is that? It would look way better than the vitalonis on my '73, and might fit over the wide holes that were drilled for them.
Car looks great for 2k!

Here is a funny thing...I bought this heater below at least 10 years ago it seems...I didn't use it and I gave it to previous owner of my 914, he includes it with the few boxes of spare parts!
Placed on 12"x12" tile floor for scale.
I know it is 24vdc, however I can get the appropriate sized DC to DC converter/power supply for less than $20 on eBay.
Car has a header on now, not sure if it will stay or not since I don't have any heat exchangers or any of the correct valves or parts to hook them up.

Gas heater? In a box of spare parts? OK, now you're just rubbing it in.
Good job.

Gas heater which
used to be his, and that he
gave away. That it came back to him is merely karma in action...
