I need advice..... I may be shipping a type 4 motor and trans to California from Colorado.

I have shipped motors before, but they were broke-down, waiting for repair. Never really worried much about small amount of damage, risk, etc.

This is a nice drivetrain, so I want to be safer this time.....

What is the best option, cost still being important... just not the main priority.

Thank you!

I have used them as well.

I have both built a crate and also simple set a motor on a pallet and wrapped it with plastic wrap to prevent small things from getting lost.

If you build a crate, is costs more and expect them to stack things on top of it.
Plastic wrap went back and forth across the country with no damage when the buyer changed his mind....

Both used freight shippers, pick up and drop off at the shipping depot.

Bump for any additional shipping company.

If you crate it and build a crate so they cant stack it you could ship it with any carrier.. We use ConWay for state to state.

Best Overnight is where we go for cheap freight.

But thats just shipping doors/hardware...
