on a car with carbs do i need the metal cnnister fuel filter,or can i use an inline plastic see through filter?does the metal cannister filter need more pressure to work correctly as it was really meant to be used with fi.

Plastic in line with work fine with carbs since they only run 3-5 psi.

I run a metal can filter in front of the pump mounted under the fuel tank, and another filter in the engine compartment. Due to the high temperatures in the engine compartment, I would recommend a metal with a glass sight tube.
