Hi All -
We have decided to hit Oktoberfest for our honeymoon this coming fall. I had a great chat with Sir Andy about stuff (Thanks again Andy!), and I am just continuing to try and round up as much info as possible.

Anyone out there gone to this event? Any tips?

I have been twice. It is a great time. Enjoy.

My advice -
Don't wear your Lederhosen.
Do the carnival rides before you start drinking heavy so you don't
Order the Kassler Rippchen or the Halbes Hühnchen.
Make us all proud and sing loud.
Take the train so you get home safe.

i second that one. also, you want to stay away from the rides later at night for the same reason ...

Two more things not to do in Munich at the park during Octoberfest!

Do not surf in the river after drinking beer.

Do not stare at the nude sunbathers after they drank beer.
