Just did a test fit of my Engman stiffner kit. All the pieces are black. Could be primer, could be paint. I thought I read somewhere that he used primer, but the pics I saw all looked like gray primer.

Just need to know so I can remove before welding if needed.

Weld able primer.

Still want to clean it of oils, etc.

Make all the holes bigger. Makes for a stronger weld.
