I remember some folks have developed a model suitable for importing into a 3d software program, but most of the links are dead.

My son wants to use his 3d printer at school to pop out a model.

are there any files available for inventor or solidworks?

thanks, herb

Or there is an app for android that lets you take a gazillion pictures of any object and it will make a 3D model of it. It actually works surprisingly well.

I did a front fender just to see, and I think it would work.

I've used the 123D app before, this is an upright for my Volvo 242 IRS project that is taking forever to complete!

Scanned this on my kitchen counter using my phone.
