So, the alternator in the 3.2 is a Paris Rhone 90A. Should I just get a new one of these or switch to a Bosch that has been rebuilt? I say rebuilt as Bosch told me they have no new alternators for this application. Obviously, I want the best alternator possible in there and hope it never has to come back out. (Man, does that thing look crusty or what?)

What say you all? Is 90A enough? Should I try for a higher output unit?

Here is the existing unit:

OK- no need to go higher output than 90A. But which is better a rebuilt Bosch or a new Paris Rohn?

New Paris. My experience with rebuilt Bosh parts has been hit and miss. I'm not sure if they are actually rebuilt BY Bosch, or just rebuilt ( by 6 year old kids in a north Korean sweatshop ) Bosch units

Done deal then. Paris Rhone it is.

I've been running a Paris Rhone for 15 years now. Not one problem!
