Full Version: Antenna mounting location and cable routing

My car previously had an antenna mounted on the cowl. I filled the hole prior to paint and bought a Hirschman antenna to mount on the fender, the proper location. I saw a location diagram on World some time back but neglected to bookmark it. Does anyone recall seeing it?
I also need to know where to drill to route the cable through the inner fender.

Thanks in advance.

If i recall correctly they were all dealer installed, i'm not sure there is a factory correct location or if there ever was one "correct" template for the install.

Well that looks like at least factory approved as a spot. I kinda like the retractable antenna in my 911. But don't seem to see them in the 914s. Originals more budget oriented? Or is it just gauche? I can't hear it much anyway but still. They don't snap off if they are in the down position.
