Its about 5:15 now and I am out in the garage, its windy, raining and even hail coming down outside. I can hear the thunder and see flashes of lightning outside. I have not seen a storm like this in winter for a long time. This is more like a summer or fall storm. When will I ever get to drive my car?
morgan
We have a winter storm warning out 5 to 9 Inches of snow . The wet heavy type

Scott,

I live in the foothills of Mt. Jacinto on the road to Idyllwild and the same things is happening here. It rained all night long! No Porsche today, but some outstanding mountain biking is in order!

Dumping buckets with a bit of hail a few minutes ago.
Allan
Pretty nasty here as well. Rained all night and it's supposed to pick up again today. Gonna see what I can get done on the car. My problem is that I need to do some primering. sad.gif

Xitspd,
Do you know Bob The Hotrod guy who lives at the base of the road to Idlywild?
BMartin914
Sounds like you guys are really getting the short end of the stick out there. So much for perpetual sunshine in SoCal. wink.gif

It's supposed to be mid to upper 50s all weekend here in Denver smilie_pokal.gif

I think I'll take the teener out tomorrow driving.gif Can't wait!

Only 9"? And I thought Tucson was dry with 12" annual rainfall.
Type 4
We dont get as much here. It dumped 2 inches in chatworth yesterday and we got about a .25 of an inch.
Today it pouring with a SSE gale.

1' of snow and still blowin'

4 more days of this storm......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

See what you effers did when you took over the UFO Board?
Rhodes71/914
We actually have a snow advisory for tonight and tommorow, up to 7" total accumulation they say. It's been since the beg of December that we had that.

Should be a good Pres. weekend at Bachelor for any snow shredders heading that way.

Good thing I had to pull the engine back out of the car or I would be anxious to drive.
Joe Bob
It's clear here NOW...but we had Scott's stuff last night....pretty good pyrotechnics last night with the lightning....
KaptKaos
Raining here again in Westchester. No teener fun today.

They just issued another flash flood warning. Ugh...
jones
Like Geoff said it is nice here. We have been having some great weather the last few days. We don't have any water shed though. It is pretty dry for this area.
914fan

Different weather in SoCal is nice, but not early morning where it wakes me up and I'm trying to sleep in on a Saturday!!!

Thunder and Lightning is cool though and was fun to listen to...didn't get to see it mad.gif
TonyAKAVW
Last night we had a ton of lightning very close to us. In fact there were probably three bolts of it that hit within less than a mile of us. Streetlights turned off briefly, car alarms started wailing, the whole apartment building rumbled likea small earthquake. One of the strikes must have been on our street because I saw some bright orange embers fall from one of the power poles just across the street. Of course just after that the idiot across the street walks outside to see what is going on.

Hot Damn! The sun just came out, Clayton is on his way over and we are going to go pick up some cars. I hope the sun lasts for at least an hour or two. Long enough to get these things picked up. Wish us luck.
Howard
Scott, did you connect with Mike on the muffler? Roads are a bit of a mess here.
Maltese Falcon
Hey Allan, take a break from the H2o and get over to Incredible John's Pizza on Rosedale> there's an Off da Hook indoor go kart there. Take a few Hot Laps in those quick revving electric karts...you can really get some speed going , you'll think you're in a teener biggrin.gif
On the last lap , the worker will hit a speed governor- so expect that.
Other things to do in the 661 today ? Build an Ark headbang.gif

Allan
Hey Marty, been there and driven them. I have a friend who's son works there and he said that after they close they get in them and crank up the juice. As far as comparing to a teener, they don't leak oil and they are all faster than mine right now. biggrin.gif

Xitspd,

I know who he is. There are two hotrod guys on the road to Idyllwild. The Hemet area has a lot of hot rod and off road vehicle fabricators.
Type 4
Bob is the last place befor you go up the hill. He always has some rod parked out up on the road for sale.

Rain in Sonoma. Think of our trackstars at Sears.

Yeah! I know his place. Nice and remote. The road is beautiful this time of the year. Here is a picture looking toward the road from my patio.

Everything is realtive. In Texas or the Mid West the storms we are getting would be a typical T-Storm. In Cali it's a catastropic storm. Prolly cuz people tend to build houses on the side of hills that tend to wash away with a few inchs of rain.

One day it will stop and i can finally get the electrician to come over and add the sub panel and wiring to my garage!! Then i can hook up my compressor without blowing up my entire electrical panel.
