Model 6201 I don't see a mention of a rev limiter.

NOT going to save you, as that is a
mechanical over rev.
In the same vane you should never use a rev limiter as a shift indicator. I don't care if they call it a "soft" limiter you are still loading and unloading the engine at high RPM.
A rev limiter is a safety device, but never think it's fool proof.
