Full Version: Driveshaft assembly question..
Is it only the inner joint that can flex in and out along the driveshaft? Both my inner joints flexes nicely but both outer joints are more or less rigid....

Same joint inner and outer. Should work the same way.
Took it apart again and now its ok. Must have hade the cage and outer piece misaligned...
If the CV does not move freely in-out (linearly) then you might have assembled it wrong.
You can get the CV together two ways:
The one on the right is wrong, the one on the left is correct.
If you assemble it like the one on the right, it will not move in/out at all.
