hey guys

i'm jumping the relay board to power my new fuel pump (carbs).

i hooked it up like pelican parts recommended:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/914/914QA/914Q...6_fuel_pump.htm

by using the numbers of the relay board as indicated in the wiring diagram:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/914/Parts/Elec...ric_71Relay.jpg

this didn't work. or, rather, the fuel pump ran when the key was off, and didn't run when the key was on. kinda the opposite of what i'm after. after this, i noticed that the numbering of my relays doesn't match the numbering indicated by the schematic.

all of this to ask: is the mismatched numbering a problem?

those are standard numbers.....30 to 87 or 30 to 87a by the looks of it...

dude, do a search here ...

forget that article, way to complicated to jump the relay connections, just fool the relay board to believe the FI-Brain is still there. just one wire !

i posted that a while ago, there's a much easier way to jumper this.
all you need to do is ground out one of the 4 pins from the FI-brain connector on the relay board.
you still use the stock FI-Relay and all ...

i forget which pin, i can post you a pic when i get home, but as i said above, i already posted all that previously.
all you need is 1 (one) wire to ground on one of those 4 pins ...
