Right after I replace my lameass brand new fuel pump, I am going to fabricate a center-seat low profile lock-box to gain the ability to leave the top off the car and not be subject to the day use thieves and pi-a-mix urchins that inhabit every beach town in America.

I am looking for a glove box locking mechanism with or without the key / prefer no key so I can rekey to my non-valet key. The action on the glove box lock seems to be the best option for this undertaking. If it works out, I will post the subtly upholstered center seat setup for others to check out and wail on.

Leaving any convertible unsupervised is always problematic. What about your gear shift knob?
