A couple weekends ago, Nadine and I ran in the 8th edition of SCCA Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb with our trusty 914 - Huey. While not the most powerful or best race 914 around...I still managed a solid 1st place and Nadine 3rd in GT2 class.

The engine sounds great! Did I miss it or were you able to do the entire climb in 2nd gear?

I don't know why videos always seem to make cars look slower, hills become flatter and people fatter.

I've taken some videos where I was on the edge of out of control at times, but when you play them back it looks like a Sunday drive to the store. . .

Nadine is awesome! If we lived closer Sandy would have a great driving mentor!

Nadine was way off her best times from last year...we think that's because she doesn't drive much anymore. Seriously...she works from home all the time, and when we go out, I usually drive. She realized sometime in May that she hadn't driven ANYTHING in a couple months!!! She just needs to get seat time...ANY seat time...to feel comfortable actually driving and pushing the car. she needs to develop that trust that just comes with time behind the wheel.

But she had a blast as always. It's so much fun doing this stuff together!!

She is an AWESOME driving instructor. Loves to do it and especially loves instructing women and trying to get them into this crazy sport.
