I think that usually applies to more "performance" carbs.

It seems these would have decent throttle response and be okay on a small motor.

The FRD is Dellortos answer to the Weber ICT 34mm carbs. IMHO they are superior to the Webers. Fine for a small motor, but don't look for great performance; they're only 34mm. . .

I have 34s on my 1.8L. They are ok... wish I had spent the money for 40s or 44s. The jets they came with where too big and I replaced the distributor with both types of advance. FI cam and fuel pump has been replaced also...

It starts easy cold, but after a drive it starts hard because of vapor lock. I was told that bringing the fuel pressure down would help with the vapor lock. My set up loves to run flat out, but hiccups at cruising speed.

thanks.

seems very few of us are running FRD's, was just checking.

i have a set i will throw on a 1.8 to see how they sound VS single weber.

just need to source some cheap linkage first.

Don't do the single carb thing. I have it set up probably as well as it can be and it isn't satisfactory. It will be changed out at some point.

I have a single two barrel 32/36 Weber with Carb Cam n '74 1.8 that runs great.
It was tuned at Translog and Tony said you have to get the Float set up right which most people don't pay attention to.
