Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but if you guys want a warm up early this Sunday, we have a scheduled Porsha Coffee Meet in LaCanada. 7am here:

We meet the middle of the month; going on for the past 8 years. Pretty laid back and friendly group. Usually we're stationary with coffee and bagels, but occasionally we'll take a spin up to Newcomb's Ranch in Angeles Crest or elsewhere. There's a mix of mostly early 911s, 914s and some late stuff.

Latest announcement and some photo links:

Peterson Museum is also hosting a VW Cruise-In on Sunday:

Keep us up to date with your Monrovia car shows.
Leave a PM if you want to be on our mailing list.

Too far away for me also. I live in Laguna Niguel, There is a Cars & Coffee a couple miles from my house in Aliso Viejo at the Town Center. It's in the movie theatre parking lot every Saturday Morning from around 6-9. Lots of nice cars. I will be there this Saturday with my 914. Sad to say last Saturday there was lots of old nice 911's, but mine was the only 914 there. Lots of Porsche nuts were checking it out.

A cars & coffee in the northern foothills are a bit too far for me too, especially since I'm typically a late riser and it takes even more time for my body to function fully dry.gif

Pelican has been hosting a cars & coffee down here in the South Bay (Palos Verdes area) since the beginning of this year. I haven't made it to one of them yet, even though it's only a few miles from my home screwy.gif

I think they're only once a month though confused24.gif

Prepping for an engine drop in an old 911. Jacked the car up and set it on wheel dollies, then pushed it to a suitable work area, and put it up on jack stands. Disconnected wiring and linkages, removed the rear valance & the muffler, drained the oil (tank & case) and started removing the H/Es (4 more nuts to go). Not much of a task for a healthy young buck, but I'm not one of those any more dry.gif
