***************SOLD*************SOLD***********

I have owned this 914 for 12yrs, it is a great car and I Love it. I drive this car every chance I get and autocross it as well. It is a nice combination of a street car & atuocrosser. I have paperwork for service dating back to 1994 and while in my ownership it has been maintained by Brad Mayeur of 914ltd (309-694-1797).

Here are the details of the car:

Chassis: is a 1970. Both Trunks, floor pan batter tray & hell hole are solid. I did have Brad install his longitude kit, not because of rusty longs, but to add some more stiffness to the chassis for autocrossing. Car was repainted in 2007 by Shelby Chan and is starting to show some wear and does have two small rust bubbles under the paint on the passenger fender (see pics). Also installed Engman's front sway bar reinforcement plates. All new body seals & gaskets when repainted in 2007 along with New windshield

Drivetrain: is a 73 2.0L with euro P&Cs with tuna can. Side shift transmission with stock gears. Has stock heat exchangers & bursch muffler.

Suspension: has adjustable koni's (nice when going from Axing to street use) Rear shocks have the adjustable spring perches with 150lb springs. Front sway bay is a Weltmeister 21mm bar. Also have 21mm torsion bars. There is NO rear sway bar, but the correct sway bar shock bolts are there. Turbo tie rods. 19mm master cylinder.

Interior: Has 914 rubber carpet kit. Drivers seat is a GTS Classics LeMans seat. Passenger seat has been changed from a fixed (1970) seat to a movable adjustable seat. Harness bar with 5 point belts for both seats. Oil temp & pressure gauges mounted on drivers driver side A Pillar. Has Dino 15 inch wood steering wheel & wood dash face. Speakers are (Morph) 914rubber style. Door panels have been changed to RS style look. Also have 914rubber sun visor.

Exterior: Bumpers are nice with 914 rubber replacement bumper tops installed. Door handles show no pitting. Has Euro lenses (no cracks) front & rear. Front turn signal buckets have been modified to Euro style also. Sail panel area is painted with a lite texture to give it the look of vinyl. Has GT style engine lid with 3rd brake light installed. I do have the stock lid also. Pilot driving lights.

Tire & rims: Rims are factory Fuchs with factory center caps. Tires are BF Goodrich g-force Rivals with one AX season on them.

Unique: I asked Brad if he could fab up a hidden trailer mount system so I could tow a small Autocross trailer. What Brad & Michael came up with works great. You can see more detail on that in this link --> Trailer hitch thread

So if you have read this far then hopefully you are interested in my 914. My Asking price is $14.5k and could include delivery if you are within 4 hours of Portage Indiana (46368). I welcome all questions and for serious buyer PPI can be worked out as I have nothing to hide. Its is a great car. Please feel free to PM or call me at 219-730-9205 (before 9pm central time please)

Here are some pictures. I will post a link to a photo web hosting site once I figure out how to load pictures to that site.

Ummmm....you SURE about this Garold? You must have fallen in love with the 2.7 car. Just don't forget how long you've been searching for that black car you sold in the '90's!

This is a very well sorted 914. I've seen it many, many times. Always well maintained.

Yes Chris I am sure. Trust me it's not an easy choice, but it is time to move it along to someone else hopefully that will love it like I have.

Thanks for the comments on my 914, I have always taken great care of it.

Hello Garold

I am in the market for a new 914

You have a great looking car.

Could you please help me understand what this means:

73 2.0L with euro P&Cs with tuna can

Does this increase the Horsepower

If so what could one expect please.

Thank You
914ltd
Don't hesitate on this car if you are looking for a great running and driving 914 plus an exceptionally solid and straight chassis.
I owned this car and did many of the modifications 16 years ago. Garold has improved it a lot since. The 1970 and 1971 models are the lightest chassis 914's and the addition of the 2.0, sideshift, sway bar and sticky tires is instant thrill ride. The engine is a build I have done multiple times, they are set up for power, driveability and longevity using the stock fuel injection. It's a great daily driver and a strong 2.0 autocross engine.
Garold has maintained this 914 well so you can get in and enjoy today.

The Euro P's & C's have a flatter top so they provide higher compression. Not sure what the hp differential is...

The tuna can helps prevent oil starvation during cornering. Not so much a hp gain-er, but an engine protector.

agree.gif with what Chris says here and with Brad. I can't give you exact HP gains with the Euro P&C but it is above the stock 95hp that 2.0L came with.
