ok, i know many of you have followed the story of the Prototype 914/6 Car (#4)
that brad acquired about 2 years ago.
you all also know that about a year ago, after we ran an article on the
car in excellence magazine, a guy showed up and claimed ownership to the
car and alleged that brad had stolen it from him.

to make a long story short, brad was arrested by the Police
Wednesday night. he handed over the car to the police.
at this point, we don't have any official charges.

i would appreciate if you guys could refrain from posting speculations,
flames, personal opinions and such until we have more details about the
actual charge and allegations.

i will keep you posted in this thread, but i also advised the other admins
to delete *ANY* other threads regarding this matter.

if you want facts, come here and check this thread frequently.

if you want rumors and slander, go somewhere else ...

UPDATE:

first, let me thank all of you who have expressed their support.
this has been quite a ride so far and i can't thank all of you enough!

brad is in transit to "Rancho Cuchamunga" (San Bernardino County) and
any of the trial proceedings will be held in "Joshua Tree".
the arraignment will be on friday, so if anyone wants to show
up there and show some support, feel free ...

the official bail amount will be set on friday as well.

i have had numerous requests for a "bail fund" and i'm currently
looking into how/where to set this up. i will notify each of you
once i have this figured out.

i will keep you updated here in this thread,

here is what the court had to say:

- TAKE VEHICLE WITHOUT OWNER'S CONSENT/VEHICLE THEFT
- RECEIVE/ETC KNOWN STOLEN PROP (OVER $400)


again, the arraignment will be tomorrow and we'll know more once
that is over ...

this is short notice, but if anyone wants to be at brads arraignment tomorrow, here's the info:

"The arraignment time for Fri in Joshua Tree will be somewhere from 1:30-3:00pm.
The address is 6527 White Feather Road , Joshua Tree Ca. 92252."

there will be a small caravan going down from the bay area as well as a caravan from the LA area.

the 914Club BSG (Brad Support Group) just got out of the court, brad's bail was lowered from $1.5 mil. to $50k (which is the book value for his charges)!


they're now at the laywers office to regroup and work out the next steps.
at this point, brad is still in custody.

i will update you as soon as i know more, which shouldn't take too long ...

Thanks for your relentless support to Brad. You have no idea how much this is appreciated!!!


Please understand that the admins are caught between a rock and a hard place here...
We understand that all of you are eager to help Brad out and want to stay informed

Andy is "closest to the fire" and he will keep us updated with news as much as he can
If you don't hear anything new, there just isn't any news to report.

As Andy also explained, there is still an ongoing investigation
And sad but true, it's not all just Brad's friends who hang out here... Big Brother is watching us
Anything said and done here can and WILL be used against Brad

So yes, for that reason, we will be monitoring what is going on and what is being posted here closely
We will keep these things on a very short leash. We will edit, or delete posts and threads that we think are inapropriate and we will not go into discussion about it...
There is absolutly no margin for errors!

We're only trying to do what's best for Brad right now
That is our only interest. It's not about us bashing you or putting you down. It is not about ego's
This is about helping Brad, and helping Brad only...

We understand (and appreciate) your enthusiasm to help out, and the creative ideas, but we ask you to please not start anything on your own. If you think you have any ideas on helping out, please go through the admins...

I too would like to thank everyone for keeping this positive and also for your support for Brad.

UPDATE:

Brad's Bail Fund has hit the $9k mark today!

$5k was spent to bail him out, that leaves us with ~$4k for attorney/legal fees.
this money will be well spend as it has allowed us to hire a very good criminal defense attorney!
