Full Version: Ball cup bushing for side shifter

I bought a side shift console to modify for the tangerine linkage and decided to take it apart and replace the seals before I reinstalled it. During the process, what I'm assuming is the rear cup bushing that was on there crumbled to pieces.

Is this the correct part?

I'm after the bushing that attaches to the ball on part 17 in this diagram.

Okay, I have another question, is there a trick to getting these on? The opening is obviously smaller than the ball it's going to fit onto. Grease and a vise? Should I drop it in boiling water first to soften it up?
