Has anyone ever bought one that didn't like it? If so, why. Anybody ever sold one that they bought?

I think I'm wanting one...

let put it this way, I took a fabcar shifter out of one of my cars and installed a rennshift

Ebayed the fabcar shifter

I've heard nothing but praise. The only issues I have heard was that the center tray screws may have been replaced with longer screws - which may need to be replaced. $.06 in new screws if needed. That is about as close to an issue as I have heard.

They're not available right now, correct?

You are correct - not available - get in line along with the rest of us. I talked to Jim West a couple of weeks ago he should be starting to ship about now to those at the head of the line.

Stooooopid questions:

Can you install one with a factory center console in place, or does that need to be removed?

If you can install it, does it look the same?

it fits with the console, but you have to enlarge the hole the shifter passes through in the bottom piece ...

Yep, that is about it. It is only one screw though. You won't find these things second hand.

Andy, Did you resolve your squeaking problem? Was it the center tray screw?
