anyone use just the factory rear trunk latch on the rear fiberglass lid without the struts? if you pics please post thanks

Little confused but I had an AIR fiberglass lid and the latch bolted right in place. No modifications needed. It would work fine with our without struts. Sorry no pics.

No experience, but one thing I'll say is if you prop the lid on one side only some stupid will try to close your lid and it will crack all the paint at the prop rod.

Two struts is 2 too many, two areas to break.

not using struts jus a hood prop just wanted to use the stock hood release no lock wanted to know if anyone had problems with using it, just don't like the way the GT rubber hold downs look

I am using stock lock. Haven't hit the road yet. I wouldn't want to spin. I don't have that much confidence in the stock lock.
