Hey ....I need to learn how to read my oil idea.gif
You know those charts with pics for sparksplug conditions?
normal/worn/too hot/preignition?
is there the same thing for oil condition?
I need a link ...or I need you guys to tell me what white gummy oily stuff is a result of.
Thanks.

WATER

and, unless you got a wasserpumper in there, it ain't a leaking headgasket ...

on aircooled engines, usually "condensation".
meaning, yer engine doesn't get hot for any longer period of time, which is *not* gud ...
too many short runs to the liquor store down the street in cold weather.

or, you tried to pressure-wash yer engine.

Yeah what Andy said. Sounds like you got water in your oil somehow. Leave the filler cap off on a rainy day?

Hehe,
NOOOO I didnt leave the filler cap off while going down to da liquor store on a stormy/rainy day!!! beerchug.gif mueba.gif

Is this bad?
That stuff in the oil?

Yep, change the oil and take the car for a long drive afterwards.

If it's on the dipstick, you got a problem. If it's only on the oil filler cap, you're not getting the engine hot enough to burn out the condensation. More long drives on some twisty roads does wonders. smile.gif

Change the oil, wipe the filler cap clean, go for a long drive, check the dipstick... Let us know!
