'73-'74 cases were one number GA....'75-'76 cases were a different number GC. No difference in reality.
Side shifter vs Tail shifter....side shifter linkage is about 1/3 shorter and supposedly more postive in locating gears. Trannys are the same internally, except for the shift rods.
